Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to embark on an official visit to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan from (February 10 to 13), following invitations from the leaders of the three nations, Turkey’s Communications Director Fahrettin Altun announced Saturday (February 08).

The visit aims to bolster bilateral relations through high-level discussions and strategic cooperation agreements. Erdoğan will engage in talks covering economic, political, and defense partnerships while exploring new avenues for collaboration. According to Altun, he will co-chair High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meetings in Indonesia and Pakistan, further strengthening Turkey’s regional engagement. Business leaders from the host countries will also meet with Erdoğan to discuss trade and investment opportunities.

Regional and global issues, particularly the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, will be a focal point of discussions. Erdoğan has been a vocal critic of Western policies on Palestine, and his tour is expected to consolidate support among key Muslim-majority nations on the matter.

This diplomatic outreach aligns with the broader shift toward a multipolar world order, where rising powers in Asia, the Middle East, and beyond seek to reduce reliance on Western influence. Turkey, alongside nations like China, Russia, and emerging Muslim economies, is playing an active role in reshaping global alliances. By deepening ties with Southeast Asia and South Asia, Ankara is reinforcing its vision of strategic autonomy and fostering alternative centers of power beyond traditional Western-dominated institutions.
