Bangladesh stormed to a resounding 4-0 victory over Nepal on Monday at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka to clinch the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship 2025, retaining their title in style and completing a flawless campaign.
In a must-win fixture for Nepal, it was Bangladesh who dominated from start to finish. The home side, already in imperious form throughout the tournament, maintained their perfect record — winning all six of their matches in the double round-robin stage.

The star of the night was none other than Sagorika, who netted all four goals, recording her second hat-trick of the tournament. Her clinical finishing not only sealed the championship but also took her overall tally to eight goals, making her the second-highest scorer of the tournament. Nepal’s Purnima Rai topped the scoring chart with 10 goals.
Bangladesh had already edged Nepal 3-2 in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign, thanks to a dramatic last-minute winner. But this time, the hosts left no room for doubt, dismantling Nepal’s defence with ruthless efficiency.
The victory also mirrored the outcome of the 2023 final, where Bangladesh beat Nepal 3-0 to lift the title.
Earlier in the day, Bhutan ended their campaign on a high, thrashing Sri Lanka 5-0 to secure third place with six points. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, finished bottom of the group, failing to register a single win in the tournament.
With the title win, Bangladesh reaffirmed their dominance in regional women’s youth football and showcased a promising pipeline of talent for the future.
