Four people have been arrested after a Rohingya teenager was found stabbed and slashed to death at a house in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia.

Kelantan police chief Yusoff Mamat said police were alerted to the incident at about 12:12am on Saturday after the teenager was found with stab and slash wounds to his neck.

Police later raided an unnumbered house in Taman Desa Kujid, where they arrested four suspects aged between 22 and 38, Yusoff said.

According to Free Malaysia Today, police seized four mobile phones and a pickup truck during the operation.

One of the suspects is a Malaysian national, while the other three are Rohingya nationals, Yusoff said. None of the four suspects has a previous criminal record.

The suspects have been remanded until September 25 to assist police in their investigation into the teenager’s murder.

Police have not disclosed the identity of the victim or provided further details about the circumstances surrounding the killing.
