Several people, including students, were reportedly injured in an explosion at a school in Kabul’s western Dasht-e-Barchi district on Monday, according to local media reports.
The blast occurred at around 4:30pm local time at the private Shama-e Hidayat school and educational institution in the Mahdia neighbourhood, news outlets reported.
Several students were reportedly injured and taken to Alami Hospital for treatment, according to Hasht-e Subh Daily, citing eyewitnesses.
The number of injured people and the cause of the explosion remain unclear. There were no immediate confirmed reports of deaths.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident, and it remains unclear whether the blast was accidental or deliberate.
Afghan government officials have yet to comment on the incident. The reports could not be independently verified.
