Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced on Thursday that Thailand has pledged its cooperation in the repatriation of Rohingya refugees during her recent six-day visit to the country.

Speaking at a press conference held at Ganabhaban in the capital, PM Hasina shared the outcome of her discussions in Thailand, emphasizing the significance of Thailand's influence on Myanmar.

"We have engaged in discussions regarding the Rohingya issue. Thailand holds sway over Myanmar, and in light of this, the Prime Minister of Thailand assured us that he will delve deeper into the matter and pledged his support," she stated. “The situation in Myanmar is of concern to everyone, and Thailand, too, shares these concerns.”

PM Hasina's remarks come following her return from Bangkok on April 29, concluding her official visit to Thailand, where discussions on various bilateral issues, including the Rohingya crisis, were held.
