The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has reiterated that Saudi Arabia is an important development partner of Bangladesh, stating that the bilateral relations between the two countries are “deep-rooted and multifaceted.”

In a recent meeting with Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bangladesh Essa bin Ahmed Al-Qattan, Hasina expressed her gratitude for Saudi Arabia's continued support for Bangladesh's development endeavors. She noted that Saudi Arabia has been a generous provider of financial assistance and has also played a significant role in infrastructure development, education, and healthcare in Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the strong cultural and religious ties between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. She expressed her hope that the two countries would continue to work together to strengthen their bilateral relations in the years to come.

Ambassador Al-Qattan echoed the Prime Minister's sentiments, emphasizing Saudi Arabia's commitment to further strengthening its partnership with Bangladesh. He stated that Saudi Arabia is keen to explore new avenues of cooperation with Bangladesh, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and tourism.

The meeting between the Prime Minister and the Saudi Arabian Ambassador comes amid a period of growing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
