Fifty polling stations have been opened across the world to enable Myanmar citizens living abroad to cast their votes ahead of the country’s 2025 multi-party democratic general election. According to official sources, early voting has already been completed at 41 of these stations.

The polling stations have been set up at Myanmar Embassies, Permanent Mission Offices, and Consulates-General in different countries, allowing overseas citizens to participate in the national electoral process. According to Asia News Network, the initiative aims to ensure that Myanmar nationals abroad can exercise their democratic rights conveniently before the official election day.

As of December 8, 2025, advance voting had concluded at 41 overseas missions, while the remaining offices are continuing operations until their designated dates. Authorities have urged all eligible citizens living abroad to make use of the opportunity to cast their advance votes within the scheduled timeframe.
