In Magway Region's Pauk Township, local resistance forces reported a series of attacks against a maneuvering military column, resulting in significant casualties for the junta. An official from the Pauk Township People's Defense Force (PDF) informed Khit Thit media that 17 soldiers were killed, three were captured alive, and five weapons were seized.

The incident began on October 30, when a large military column of over 400 troops from the Meiktila-based Division 99 entered southern Pauk Township. This column was reportedly reinforced by soldiers from several other regiments. Before the main clashes, the column was accused of killing two civilians and burning down seven homes in Chek Kan village.

The first major clash occurred on November 3 near Kyauk Kar village. Resistance groups claimed that 10 soldiers were killed and about 10 others were wounded in this fight, causing the military column to retreat.

Two days later, on November 5, the fighting resumed as forces intercepted a 130-man contingent from the column. In this engagement near the Yaw Chaung stream, the PDF claimed 7 more soldiers were killed.

During these battles, the resistance forces reported seizing a large amount of military equipment, including: 2 MA-1 rifles,1 MA-2 rifle,1 MA-3 rifle,1 Carbine rifle,Around 1,500 rounds of various ammunition,5 60mm mortar shells, 7 RPG rounds, and 10 grenade launcher rounds, Various mines, hand grenades, and a communications set,A laptop, 13 military backpacks, and other supplies.

"Visually, 17 were killed... We captured 3 alive... with their weapons. For now, they are being held according to the laws for prisoners of war," the Pauk PDF official stated.

In separate incidents, the PDF also reported capturing three other soldiers who had allegedly deserted the column on October 29 and November 9, seizing their weapons, including an RPG.

The attacks were carried out by a coalition of local resistance groups, including the Pauk Township PDF, Pauk-Seikphyu Battalions, and MGY PDF.
