The United Kingdom and Qatar have announced a joint fund of $11.2 million to provide Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to vulnerable families of Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.

The information was confirmed on Sunday (December 7) in a statement issued by the British High Commission in Dhaka.

In its message, the High Commission stated that the UK is "proud to partner with Qatar to strengthen humanitarian assistance." Currently, more than 647,000 Rohingya refugees and members of the local host community in Cox's Bazar are set to benefit from this collaboration.

According to the announcement, the joint funding will ensure the supply of LPG to families residing in the refugee camps and surrounding areas. This initiative aims to reduce environmental degradation and improve living standards for the beneficiaries.

Both nations have affirmed their commitment to working together to build safe, healthy, and sustainable communities.
