On the occasion of the Arakan Army's 15th anniversary, the Chin Brotherhood, representing six Chin resistance groups, has announced its commitment to collaborate with the Arakan Army (AA) to safeguard the interests of the Rakhine and Chin ethnic communities.

In a message conveyed on April 10th, the Chin Brotherhood highlighted their long-term vision beyond the revolutionary period, aiming to foster enduring relations and economic ties between the Chin and Rakhine people. A spokesperson for the Chin Brotherhood reiterated this stance to Mizzima on April 11th, emphasizing the aspiration for sustained cooperation.

The collaboration aims to dismantle totalitarian systems and empower both ethnic groups to shape their own destiny, while ensuring the protection of their interests. The Chin Brotherhood sees itself as a bridge between the two organizations, working towards their mutual welfare.

Commending the AA for its resilience and achievements over the past 15 years, the Chin Brotherhood views the organization as a beacon of hope for ending military dictatorship, resonating with the desires of the Myanmar populace.

Expressing optimism for the swift achievement of military and political objectives, the Chin Brotherhood's statement underlines the significance of the AA's support in advancing the aspirations of the Rakhine community.

The Chin Brotherhood comprises prominent organizations including the Zomi Federal Union, Chin National Organization, Chin National Council (Mindat), Maraland Territorial Council, Chin Defense Force (Kanpetlet), and Chinland Defense Force (Matupi).

Meanwhile, the AA's recent offensives in Rakhine State, seizing control of eight towns, along with Paletwa in Chin State, underscore their ongoing efforts to assert their influence in the region.
