Myanmar's military junta faced significant losses in recent days as People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) and ethnic armed organizations (EAOs) intensified attacks on regime targets across the country.

Reports indicate that at least three more strongholds fell to anti-regime forces, resulting in casualties on both sides. The incidents occurred in various regions, including Kachin and Rakhine states, as well as Mandalay, Sagaing, Magwe, and Tanintharyi regions.

In Kachin State, the ethnic Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and the Kachin Region PDF group jointly seized three military bases in Mansi Township after three days of intense attacks. Troops from three junta light infantry battalions stationed at the bases suffered casualties during the seizure.

Meanwhile, clashes persisted in Rakhine State, where the ethnic Arakan Army (AA) intensified efforts to capture the base of the junta’s Light Infantry Battalion 550 in Ponnagyun Town. The AA also targeted the Yan Aung Pyin junta base in Maungdaw Township.

In Tanintharyi Region, three Tanintharyi PDF groups launched a raid on a junta camp near Young Maw Village in Dawei Township. The attack resulted in heavy casualties among regime troops and the seizure of weapons and ammunition by the resistance groups.

Similarly, in Magwe Region's Myaing Township, 14 PDF groups conducted coordinated raids on regime forces stationed at government facilities. The attacks resulted in casualties among regime forces, including the death of a police captain.

In Sagaing Region's Salingyi Township, at least five resistance groups jointly attacked regime sentry boxes, resulting in casualties on both sides. A PDF fighter sustained minor injuries, and two civilians were wounded during the exchange of fire.

The ongoing resistance efforts underscore the persistent challenges faced by the junta as it struggles to maintain control amid widespread opposition.
