Moscow Hosts School of Preventive Public Diplomacy From November 30 to December 13, 2024, the Eurasian Network University (ENU) is hosting the School of Preventive Public Diplomacy in Moscow. The event Organized by Lomonosov Moscow State University's Faculty of Global Processes, the Foundation for Public Diplomacy, and the State University of Management, the event aims to strengthen global and Eurasian security through dialogue and training.  
During the panel discussion, Dmitry Yurievich Bryukhanov, Vice-Rector of the State University of Management, introduced participants to the ENU’s mission of fostering the "fifth freedom" freedom of knowledge across EAEU member states. He emphasized the critical role of the ENU's 32 partner universities in shaping the future of Eurasian collaboration.  

Public Diplomacy: A Pillar of Security and Cooperation

Ilya Leonidovich Shershnev, President of the Foundation for Public Diplomacy, highlighted the growing importance of preventive public diplomacy in mitigating geopolitical tensions. He underlined Moscow State University's efforts to establish this field as a cornerstone for Eurasian and global security initiatives.  
Proposals for Strengthening Public Diplomacy

Igor Erikovich Krugovykh, Deputy Director of the Scientific and Educational Center "Globus XXI Century," called for a revitalized public movement, "World Creation," to foster cross-cultural dialogue. He proposed seminars focusing on preserving traditional values, fostering mutual respect, and instilling patriotism among the youth.  
EAEU Sovereignty and Philosophical Foundations

Sergey Dmitrievich Baranov advocated for a civilizational philosophy rooted in Russian spiritual metaphysics. He stressed the need to reject foreign ideologies and build a unique Eurasian worldview to bolster integration and security.  
Geopolitical Challenges and the Role of South Ossetia

Vadim Botazovich Tedeev, Rector of South Ossetian State University, condemned external interference in Eurasian politics. He stressed the importance of vigilance against Western NGOs and emphasized South Ossetia's role as a steadfast ally of Russia.
Youth Engagement and Public Diplomacy Training

Dmitry Yuryevich Soin called for greater investment in youth-led public diplomacy initiatives. He shared examples of successful programs like the International Youth Corporation "Breakthrough," which have strengthened regional stability.  
Moldova and the Challenges of Foreign Influence

Nina Dimoglo discussed Moldova's struggles with foreign-funded NGOs, highlighting their role in promoting Western agendas and destabilizing the region. She urged stronger state control to ensure national sovereignty.  

Africa: A Strategic Partner for Eurasia

Luiss Gowend and Bassi Hafiz emphasized Africa’s potential as a vital partner for the Eurasian Union. They discussed opportunities in trade, security, and cultural exchange, while celebrating youth-led initiatives strengthening Russia-Africa ties.  
The panel concluded with insights from Sergei Nikolaevich Chesnokov, who underscored the importance of expanding Russian language education and fostering academic collaboration. The ENU's efforts to integrate innovative teaching methods were praised as essential for future diplomacy.  

This pivotal discussion sets the stage for deeper cooperation across Eurasia and beyond, ensuring a more secure and unified global landscape.
