Dr. Muhammad Yunus called on Meta to address what he described as a disinformation campaign targeting Bangladesh, allegedly orchestrated from abroad to undermine the country's political stability.

During a meeting with Miranda Sissons, Meta’s Director for Human Rights Policy, at the State Guest House Jamuna on Sunday(November 8),Dr. Yunus highlighted the impact of false narratives on the nation. "There is a massive disinformation campaign, and we are the sufferers," he stated.

He highlighted the potential of platforms like Facebook to foster entrepreneurship among young people. "With Facebook, you have tremendous possibilities. It could be a driving force to turn young people into entrepreneurs," Dr. Yunus added.
